Msowanji is a 58-year-old female with goiter since age 12. Imagine living with a goiter for more than four decades. Msowanji had a CT scan that informed how the surgical team will approach her case. The SAFE surgical team at Nkhoma determined Msowanji needs a subtotal (nearly full) thyroidectomy. We are currently waiting for the results of a biopsy and then Msowanji will be scheduled for surgery.
We need to raise $520 for Msowanji’s treatment. The cost of Msowanji’s diagnosis is higher than most due to the high cost of a CT scan.
