Angoni began working for AHA (when it was known as World Camp) in 2003. Before that, he was the gardener for the previous owner of the property. His nickname, Angoni, represents the tribe from which he originates at Ntcheu. Ngoni and his wife Margaret has six children, including three boys and three girls, plus two grandchildren. Angoni keeps the AHA property looking smart. He is an extremely skilled and talented gardener, making AHA a wonderful place to stay and work. He does small maintenance around the property, waters the gardens and lawn every day, plants flowers around the house, and even grows a vegetable garden from which he shares fresh produce with staff and volunteers. He is responsible for gate-keeping, daytime security, and greeting visitors and staff. He enjoys doing extra favors like washing cars and helping volunteers load/offload heavy items. He is always ready with a helping hand, friendly greeting, and big smile – he is a hard worker who brightens everyone’s day!
