We write to you from Malawi, where we just wrapped up seven very successful days of surgery at Mitundu Community Hospital… and we have two more days to go! But we need YOU! After treating 155 patients while our international team was on the ground last week, we decided to extend our surgical camp so that the local team at Mitundu can treat 100+ patients from our waiting list!

Takondwa is a 14-year-old girl who is currently attending middle school in the next town after Kabudula. She developed a cyst on her hand last year that became so painful she could not properly carry anything.

Recognizing the alignment in our missions, AHA and WAM formed a strategic partnership a few years ago, maximizing resources and sharing expertise. The result has been incredibly impactful with more patients, students, and communities being served in a more coordinated way.
